Data sources
Results for the four races come from the DUV Ultra Marathon Statistics database (statistik.d-u-v.org), a volunteer-run archive, and from the public results published by the organisers. The 2026 Diagonale des Fous comes from Livetrail, the race’s own timing provider, because DUV had not published it when this site was built.
What has been corrected since the import
That import is a starting point, not the final word. The ranking only means something if one runner is one record, so the following has been done by hand, and the list keeps growing:
- Duplicate records merged. The same runner often appears twice, because a second family name was recorded for some races and not others — “Emma Roca” and “Emma Roca Rodriguez” were one person, and her fourth monument only appeared once the two were put together — or because of a difference in accents, hyphens or apostrophes.
- Namesakes kept apart. Two records are only merged when the country and the year of birth match and the race years do not overlap. Otherwise they stay separate, each with their own page: two different runners can share a name.
- Addresses made from names. Each runner has a page at a readable address built from their name. Where two different runners share one, the suffix is their record number. Changing an address never breaks the old one.
- Shortened editions flagged. The 2010 and 2012 UTMB were run on a reduced course. Those finishes appear on the edition pages for the record, but count neither towards the ranking nor towards the club of four.
- Nameless finishes kept. A handful of results are recorded in the source with no runner’s name. The result is kept, so the finisher count for its edition stays right, but there is no meaningful athlete behind it.
- Individual records checked against the UTMB Index, the ITRA and the organisers’ own result pages whenever the source looked wrong or incomplete.
Errors certainly remain, and they are provided as is, without any guarantee. If you find one, the correction address is below.
